We are distributing our RMTN Non-Emergency Transportation Resource Guides to area hospitals, and also gaining valuable quantitative and qualitative data pertaining to transit options for EMS workers and hospital case managers.

The Rural Medical Transportation Network (RMTN) strives to coordinate cost-effective rides to doctors’ offices, hospitals, and other locations for people who need help with transit.

Shawnee Mass Transit District (SMART)
A state and federally funded non-profit public transit system. The counties we serve are Alexander, Pulaski, Johnson, Massac, and Union; we provided non-emergency trips for the general public. All of our vehicles are equipped with lifts and ramps making them accessible to anyone. Our drivers are trained in First Aid, CPR, and passanger assistance, and they are able to meet the needs of passengers with dissabilities and provide assistance as needed. We make available transportation to anyone who lives in our service area.
